Wednesday 29th July:
We started the day off as we will every day of camp, with our fun and engaging
tefilla service for the participants, ‘Shul of Rock’, before a yummy breakfast.
This followed with an engaging activity for the children, where they had to
build their own city, including a name, flag, laws and maps! It was a great
team building exercise and the kids really enjoyed getting creative, with some
very interesting cities created.
Next up was our first Challenge session! We were all split into set groups for
the duration of camp, where we will discuss various intellectual and
stimulating topics, as well as carry out thought provoking activities. It's
also a great way to get to know each other and the madrichim on a more personal
level. Today we discussed the communal and individual aspect of prayer, and it
was great to see everyone getting actively involved in the discussion.
Lunch was followed by iClub, which is organised free time. Over the next week
we’ll be having a few iClub sessions, where we get to spend time getting to
know each other as well as working on a project together in our groups. Today
was an energetic Zumba and football session, as well as bracelet making.

Our day then continued with a fun, action packed two hour programme (tochnit), ‘Gameshow’,
where we underwent a series of challenges, including a total wipeout obstacle
course, million pound drop and weakest link! It was so much fun!!
Next was free time, which was a great opportunity for us to relax and buy some nosh in the tuck shop, as well as socialise with everyone in an informal environment.
In the evening we had a thrilling ‘Who-done-it’ tochnit, which involved
everyone working together in teams to find out who it was. It was very exciting!
What a fantastic first, full day of camp!
